Opeth Rulezzzz!!

Xup people!

A few days ago I had the opportunity to assist to an Opeth concert... and I have to say the experience was AMAZING! I've always liked Opeth but being in a concert took me to another level (with no drugs whatsoever...).
The concert took about 2 hours and they performed many different songs, such as "Black Water Park", "Deliverance", "Windowpane", "Demon of the Fall", among many others. My favorite one was Black Water Park anyway... though they closed the show with Deliverance.

During the presentation the vocalist (Mikael), talked with many fellows in the crowd and even had them shut up (hehehee... joking of course)... and he demonstrated a different charisma than what is known in Metal groups.
Their presentation made me remember a legendary Metal band named"Death", but I am not sure why... anyway it was totally ass kicking!

Their performance was absolutely awesome and the concert was great, though the band that was supposed to open the show didn't performed because their car/bus (whatever), didn't make it to the place.

In case you don't know...
Opeth is a progressive death metal band from Sweden. Opeth adds several lighter elements to their music, such as acoustic guitar interludes, influences from jazz, 1970s progressive rock, blues and folk elements. Vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt performs both clean singing and death vocals. Due to their unique blend of melodic and progressive elements, they are said not to conform to any specific metal sub-genre. The name Opeth was taken from the novel Sunbird by author Wilbur Smith, and was originally spelled Opet. In the book, Opet is the name of the location for an ancient empire which translates to "City of the Moon".

I will post photos from the concert soon... so stay tunned!

Write a book

Hello again...

Lately I've been dealing with a creativity hole. I am not able to figure out what I would like to write about.... well, let me start the right way.

Usually I write poems and songs (lyrics), but lately I don't have the same inspiration... as a matter of fact I don't have any inspiration whatsoever. Anyway, I thought it would be a nice idea to do something related but different... so I decided to write a book. I know I should start from the bottom and probably the best way would be to write some short stories. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea of what I would like to write about or how I could do it.

It's kinda frustrating, cause I know I can do it and I know that if I really get into it, I'd probably do it good enough to kick Harry Potter's books ass.

By know I will read a few guides (even though I don't like guides)... like this one I found on wikihow .

Once I have something ready, I will add it to my page so if you are interested... you read it.

Well, there is nothing else to say...

Have a good one.

Take good care of your laptop

Hello Everybody,

I have nothing to say right now, so I will post some tips I saw on certain sites about how to take good care of a notebook...

  1. Do not spill any liquid on your laptop.
  2. Don't eat over your laptop.
  3. Keep your hands clean.
  4. Protect the LCD display monitor.
  5. Don't cram the computer too tightly into a carrying case. Buy or make a laptop case that is large enough to hold it.
  6. Hold and lift the computer by its base, not by its LCD display (the screen).
  7. Don't pull on the power cord.
  8. Don't roll your chair over the computer cord.
  9. Plug in accessory devices into their proper slots.
  10. Handle any removable drives with care.
  11. Insert drives into their slots carefully and at the correct angle.
  12. Check to see if labels are affixed securely before inserting media like CDs, DVDs or floppy disks into your laptop computer, to prevent them jamming in the drive.
  13. Don't expose your laptop to rapid temperature fluctuations.
  14. Have the unit cleaned once a year to remove internal dust.
I am trying to follow these tips to take good care of mine... hope you find it useful.

A visit to the circus

Hello, hello, hello...

This time I want to let you know about my latest adventure.

It was long time since I went to a circus, but I have visited one just recently.... and let me tell you it was awesome.
Surely you have heard, read or even seen it... because it is very famous. I, myself, heard and read about it in many occasions but I only had the opportunity to visit it once and I didn't take it.

Anyway, I am talking about the "Cirque du Soleil" and it's show "Alegria".
In case you don't know Cirque du Soleil began with a very simple dream. A group of young entertainers got together to amuse audiences, see the world, and have fun doing it.
It is one of the best shows in the world and probably the best circus.

I've taken some pics of myself after leaving the show because the people is not allowed to take pictures of the show... however, I have not downloaded them from the camera yet.
When I get them... I will post them in my PICASA photo album.

As always... I've been lost

Hello nice people and inexistent people,

I know I've been lost, but it wasn't my intention. I've been working hard and I have finally finished... however, I can not assure I will be witting frequently. Anyway, I'll do my best (as always.

There is not too much to say, except to mention that I've seeing two pictures of ladies that seemed like angels... I don't tend to say things like this, so obviously they had something special. This ladies I saw in a photograph, represent some kind of mysticism... and for some reason they caught my attention. Yes, they are beautiful but they have something I can not explain just yet.

I hope I can get to know this "angels", so can I understand or explain what I saw in them... because it's like you could only love them... and nothing else (BTW... I am not in love with them, I can't! I don't even know them).

Anyway, it's good to be back... hope you are doing great.

Sincerely yours,

Evan

Lacuna Coil

Greeeeetings maties!!!

I am trying to get my pages updated (cause I don't have anything else to do), so I have to tell you about the last concert I went.

As you can read from the title it was a Lacuna Coil concert (in case you don't know the band it is an italian band with 2 singers, a female and a male, with black/goth style... I guess... more info at http://www.lacunacoil.it/). It was really cool and a bit cowdy.

Anyway, I never though I would be in one of their concerts... but I really enjoyed it.
They played for 1 hour, including a Depeche Mode song called "Enjoy the silence"... among others from their new CD and some others from previous disks.

I really liked the girl... her name is Cristina Scabbia... as a matter of fact, I liked her since the first time I saw her (and I don't tend to like any artist or singer).

Anyway, if you'd like to see pics, send me a message.

Have a good time.

Evan

Remembering old times... well, not so old

Greetings my non-existent lectors!

Today I was falling asleep during the afternoon, after a hard saturday day's work... that's when I decided to take a look into my abandoned "My Space" account (yes, I have one)... so I took a quick tour in the site and saw some profiles from old friends. But, while viewing my friends profiles I saw other people I knew from some time and some other friends I've lost contact with...

It was kinda cool because I barely have contact with my friends and don't have a clue of what they might be doing. Also, now I have the opportunity to start bugging them again (what a way to entretain).

I feel lonely!! :( I miss my dead people... >(

Well... nothing else right now. At least not about this.

See ya,

Evan

Another day inside my world...

Greetings known and unknown people!

Did you know I like the cold?Well, yes. I like cold weather and cold things over hot ones cause the feeling they provoque is such much better than any other.

I believe it is easier to manage cold than manage hot. If you are cold you just put a bunch of clothes on (preferably winter clothing), turn on the heater, burn some wood in the chymenee, etc.

This is really a stupidity... but I really like cold! I like cold soo much that I would have someone frost me after I finally pass away and then broke my body in little frozen pieces (yes, we would like that very much, precious).

Anyway, think about that. What would you preffer? COOoooLLLlllDdDd or hot?
Hot sucks!

Fervently,

Evan

The Return of the King

Yes, I am back... although I am no king (I just liked the title).

My weekend was OK, not too much emotions... and I am finally getting tired of blood (it was about time).

I watched a couple of spanish movies from a director called "Amenavar". They were kind a cool... I would recomend "open your eyes", it is actually the original version of "Vanilla Sky".

Went to ride my bike again (I lost some conditions), but I didn't do anything extreme.

I am planning to spent a weekend in the highlands (yes, Scotland)... but I am not sure it will be possible soon, cause I have a lot of work.

Don't have anything else to say... I am a boring vampire.

See ya soon,

Evan

Accident

Just a week ago I was ridding my bike in some dessert place. It was a cool place because it had so many roads, crossroads, jumps, trees, etc... that I was really enjoying the ride.
Unfortunately I didn't know the roads cause I never rode the place before... so after a few minutes of ridding, it happened.
I jumped over a small cliff and when I landed, I landed on rocks. I was going to fast and I couldn't control the bike, so it was either beat the hell out of myselft crashing in the floor... or getting stamped in the big rocks. The floor!

Well, as you can imagine I crashed... but I crashed so badly that I lost my shoes and got all wounded. My hands looked like a piece of raw bloody meat, my back was all scrached up and my knees were cutted to the bone.
It had been a long time since I had an accident but apparently this things come back once in a while. I got hurt but was allowed to unlive a litter longer.

Now I am getting better and feel good enough to give it another try this weekend.
I'll let you know what turns out of it.

I'll post some pictures of my healing wounds after the treatment.

Rock on!!!

Concert

Just a few weeks ago I went to a Leave's Eyes concert... which I really enjoyed.
I got to say it wasn't the best concert I've been, but it was cool.

The band got some problems with the sound, because the sound technician sucked!... but they did great even with the problems.

At the end of the concer I got the opportunity to talk briefly with Liv Christine, but for some stupid reason I did took any picture with her (how sad).

Anyway... I am planing to see Lacuna Coil soon, so I let you know what turns out of it.

Cheers!

Lost and found...

Hello mates!!

I know I've been lost for a long time and I know as well you don't give a tiny rats ass, but I DO!!
So, anyway... I am back.

I've done not too much since my last posts, but I'll let you know the interesting stuff post by post.

Lately, I've been wondering in the GOOGLE surrounds by using and testing some products. I have to say that I've always liked GOOGLE and I like it even more now!
Just yesterday I decided to create my very own page... and I did it!!! Although it is still not finished, it can be explored.
I will continue to work in the page the following days, so I can entretain myself and entratain you.... if you will.

You can visit my website at: http://evan.stz.googlepages.com/home

That's it by now... I am now working and must leave.

Take care...

Yesterday... mmm... yes! Yesterday...

Yesterday was the begining of my week. As usual I went to work and bored myself, but... the great difference was that I had a headache... so, I went home 30 minutes earlier (big thing).

The cool thing about yesterday, was that I visted a few "PARANORMAL" pages on the net and I could see some very interesting places I would like to visit in a short future.
For example:

There is a "Celtic Temple" in a palce called Whitby, in England... which seems a great place to visit on vacations (I like this kind of things).
The other place I saw in which I am very, VERY interested... is the HIGHGATE CEMETERY (I did not know there were such cool places in England).

If you ever go to England or would like to go and visit such places... take a look on this "Ghost Tour"... http://www.ghostour.com/ ... you may want to join it, but if you don´t... go by yourself...
who know´s? You might found your SOULmate! ;)

There are other tours related with the ghost tour, like the "Dracula Tour" in Romania and Transilvania, and others not so intersting.

Anyway... PARANORMAL... yes, cool term and cooler idea (the one that comes to my mind)... why not becoming a "PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR"???
I would enjoy it, but... would I have enough money to eat? If anyone knows somebody who it´s in the bizz... please post a commet. I would very much like to get some info.

Well, talk to ya in another time...

Yesterday (saturday), I went shopping for furniture and few sport equipment. Today I did laundry and moved a couple of things in the house... then I went to play soccer all the afteroon and then by nightfall... I played tennis (I suck).

Oh!! Yes!! I saw "Along Came Polly" for the second time, yesterday (I was with some cousings)... ate pizza and 2 sandwichs. MOVIE NIGHT!

Oh, well... tomorrow I am back to work (I wish I could win the lottery).

See ya another day- Take care

Nothing to do...

I recently started working on a new company (after almost 4 months without a job), cause I was relocating and on vacations (it is a cool thing to do). I left a computer manufacturer monster and now I am in a world wide logistic abomination...

Initially I was kind of excited cause it is a great oportunity to grow, get experience and explode my resume.... but now after the first weeks, it´s no exciting anymore cuz... I DON´T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO!!!!!

It´s kind of sad, but I would have been better at home.... although I wouldn´t be getting a salary.

Let´s see what comes on next....

Salutations...
